About Me

About Tracey

My name’s Tracey and I’m a yoga teacher.

I’ve been studying yoga for just over 6 years. I came to yoga after a very long and messy divorce, which left me severely depressed and having to rebuild my life. Yoga (and my first teacher) helped me through my depression and inspired me to see how amazing and magic yoga can be.

I’ve studied a Foundation Course with the British Wheel of Yoga, and have recently completed the Diploma in Yoga Teacher Training with the British Wheel of Yoga, which was a 3 year course involving learning about all aspects of yoga including the history and philosophy of yoga.

I spend my free time attending various yoga classes, which has exposed me to different teachers and different styles of yoga. I’ve also attended many workshops over the county which has reinforced my love of yoga and desire to teach.

I teach adult classes and also classes at schools and care homes. I am really interested in yoga as a holistic method to help with stress and depression, rather than just being a fitness class.

I have a rescue cat called Blueberry, who I adopted in November 2019, so I am very new to being a Cat Mummy and absolutely loving it.

I also love travelling. My sister Emma is a primary school teacher abroad and I love visiting her around the world. She moves a lot, which is perfect for a sister wanting to travel to different places.

Teaching full time has been life-changing and a huge challenge. Every day is different and everyone I meet is different with different needs and inner struggles. I certainly do not regret my new lifestyle – I am absolutely loving life.

I’m looking forward to sharing the magic of yoga with more and more people as time goes on.
